Choosing a recycled paper such as Cyclus results in significant savings for the environment in comparison to printing on a non recycled paper. When compared to the manufacture of non recycled paper we reduce energy consumption by 80%, use 60% less water and our CO2 emissions are substantially lower.
Cyclus has a measured CO2 footprint which is 45% less than virgin fibre-based papers. For the production of 1 ton of paper, this difference represents a reduction of approx. 370 kg CO2. Using 1 ton of Cyclus, a saving of CO2 is made equivalent to the emissions from a medium-sized European car on a journey of 2000 km.
